Date Nights Around Chilliwack - Cheam Mountain Golf & The Wack Kitchen

Date Nights Around Chilliwack - Cheam Mountain Golf & The Wack Kitchen

We are featuring some Date Nights Around Chilliwack for you and your partner to get out and experience some of the great spots to visit in Chilliwack.

Every Wednesday over the coming weeks, check out our website and social feeds for date night ideas.

If you’re a business looking to be featured be sure to contact us here.

You can check out the first few date night ideas here:
Toptracer Lounge Bays at Cultus Lake Golf Club
Frankie’s & Major League 2

The third Date Night Around Chilliwack we are highlighting is a great excuse to head outdoors and enjoy a little physical activity, some great food and a few laughs along the way. Cheam Mountain Golf Course offers the perfect location for beginner to advanced golfers. Grab a cart or walk this luscious green course, rent some clubs if you need to and enjoy a quick round on this par 56 Par 3 course. You’ll be able to admire the beauty of the Fraser Valley and enjoy some quiet time out amongst the fields of Chilliwack.

Hours of Operation

Cheam Mountain Golf: 8am - 8pm
The Wack: 12-8pm

Following your round of golf, head back to the clubhouse and enjoy some amazing and unique dishes on the patio looking over the 18th hole of the course. We highly recommend trying out their wings, classic poutine and their fresh baked deep dish cookie with ice cream and caramel. Don’t forget to grab a cold drink after your round.

On Sundays for the next few weeks, they’ll be featuring a local musician from 3-6pm on the patio to make that date night even more special.

Head over to Cheam Mountain Golf Course and enjoy some time out with your partner, show off your best golf swing, enjoy a cold beverage and some tasty food all while listening to some local music and enjoy what Chilliwack has to offer.

Date Nights Around Chilliwack - Frankie's & Major League 2

Date Nights Around Chilliwack - Frankie’s & Major League 2

We are featuring some Date Nights Around Chilliwack for you and your partner to get out and experience some of the great spots to visit in Chilliwack.

Every Wednesday over the coming weeks, check out our website and social feeds for date night ideas.

If you’re a business looking to be featured be sure to contact us here.

You can check out the first date night idea here - Toptracer Lounge Bays at Cultus Lake Golf Club

The second Date Night Around Chilliwack we are highlighting is a bit of a toss up… you can intertwine, change up or just do one of the things. Frankie’s and Major League 2 Taphouse and Sports Bar have fantastic happy hour specials. They basically share a parking lot off 7350 Vedder Road so it makes visiting both spots very easy and efficient. A date night of visiting one, the other or both is bound to end up in a great time!

Happy Hour Times

ML2: 3-5pm Every Day
Frankie’s: 3-5:30pm and 9pm-Close Every Day

The toss up here is which location do you pick first?

You can head to each location for the start of their 3pm Happy Hour and then head over to the other spot for dinner. Question is, which is which?

Do you hit up ML2 for their craft beer and wine happy hour for a couple of hours; if the weather is nice, you soak in the sun on the patio. Then head over to Frankie’s for a fine glass of wine and some amazing pasta?

Or, do you start at Frankie’s for some cocktails or wine for happy hour and then head over to ML2 for some tasty pub grub and maybe even try their new cauliflower bites and beef dip?!

Better yet, why not try one date night one way and then the next date night the other?! How can you go wrong?!

Check out their menus online:
Frankie’s: http://chilliwack.frankiesitaliankitchen.ca/menu/happyhour/

ML2: http://www.majorleague2.com

Side notes:

  • ML2 has wings on special every Happy Hour and are probably the best wings in town.

  • ML2 has live music throughout the week, follow them on social media to find out what and when.

  • Frankie’s has a gorgeous patio and is perfect for a double date night kind of night.

  • Frankie’s makes a delicious Old Fashioned and has local craft beer on tap for their Happy Hour.

Date Nights Around Chilliwack - Toptracer Range

Date Nights Around Chilliwack - Toptracer Range

We are featuring some Date Nights Around Chilliwack for you and your partner to get out and experience some of the great spots to visit in Chilliwack.

Every Wednesday over the coming weeks, check out our website and social feeds for date night ideas.

If you’re a business looking to be featured be sure to contact us here.

The first Date Night Around Chilliwack we are highlighting is a date night at Cultus Lake Golf Clubs Toptracer Range and Lounge Bays. These heated, comfortable and fully served lounge bays are the perfect way to spend a few hours together and it doesn’t matter if you’re a golfer or not.

Head out for a fun evening and enjoy the delicious food from Legends Bistro and cold beverages while sitting in comfy chairs and showing your date how good your golf swing is… or isn’t?! Having played there ourselves we know most people want to see how far they can hit a ball in the Longest Drive game, but we recommend trying out the Closest to the Pin challenge or playing a round at a famous course like Pebble Beach or St. Andrews.

From their website:

What is “Toptracer”?

Toptracer is a technology that uses cameras and monitors to track your shots, while offering fun, engaging games that are great for any skill level. The shot history data and specific club performance details will appeal to the experienced golfers, while the interactive games and competitions will appeal to beginners or anyone just looking for something new to do in the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland. You may have seen this technology utilized on the PGA tour during their lives broadcasts for shot tracking.

They feature the following game modes:
Longest Drive
Virtual Golf
Closest to the Pin
Launch Monitor
What’s in My Bag
Points Game
Approach Challenge
Go Fish
Driving Challenge

Lounge Bays can have up to 6 People Per Bay. They’re fully licensed and offer a comfortable place for you and your date to enjoy some food and beverages while utilizing everything Toptracer Range has to offer.

• 6 people per bay
• Unlimited golf balls included
• Food and beverage services available (have food and drinks brought right to your lounge bay to enjoy the view, the sport and the company)

Recent flooding across the lower mainland has been devastating for women’s shelters already struggling to keep women and children safe through the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Flood damage, evacuations, and emergency supplies are all incredibly costly and revenue at many shelters is down due to the cancellation of countless fundraising events in 2020 and 2021. Local women’s shelters need our support now more than ever to continue providing life-saving services to families who have been affected first by violence and now also by this weather crisis.

We have had the pleasure of not only attending but taking photos during the live presentation of this years event. We loved what each of the speakers brought to the event but two of the presentations that stuck out for us were from Sarah Muxlow and Megan McDonald:

“After 20 months away from the stage, we are beside ourselves --  both literally and metaphorically -- to be reunited with our audiences, many of whom have become like extended family over the festive season, and to again feel the buzz that only the magic of live theatre can bring,” explained Aaron Malkin (James), the taller, less-hirsute half of the award-winning duo.

The time away, due to pandemic restrictions on live entertainment, has reinforced not only the passion the duo has for its shows, but also the importance that humour plays in our lives.

“We are so excited to once again be able to bring friends and family together, especially now - more than ever - we are reminded to dream big, embrace imagination, and celebrate a childlike excitement for merriment,” added Alastair Knowles (Jamesy), the eccentric half of the award-winning duo. “There are definitely going to be some surprises for our regular audiences, with whom we’re thrilled to reconnect this season.”

O Christmas Tea is rich with wordplay, comic physicality, and cleverly crafted interactive elements reminiscent of classic British pantomimes. However, it is James & Jamesy’s boundless imagination and endearing chemistry that creates the extraordinary magic of this unique festive experience.

During the action-packed production, a Christmas wish for tea is surprisingly fulfilled in titanic proportions. As the world floods with tea, our duo must find innovative and hilarious solutions to keep them afloat as they try to make their way back home.

Already a festive tradition for thousands of theatre-goers, this year the O Christmas Tea tour is brighter than ever, with dates across the Pacific Northwest including seven venues in the Lower Mainland - West Vancouver, North Vancouver, New Westminster, Surrey, Abbotsford, Mission and Chilliwack - offering both long-time fans and those new to the James and Jamesy experience a chance to enjoy the festive production.
