Creative Third Thursdays - April Event

You are invited to Creative Third Thursdays on April 18! We will be talking to Jessica Peters about how to leverage the power of traditional media to promote the creative industry.

Jessica Peters began her journalism career in 1999 at the Chilliwack Progress, after completing the journalism program at Kwantlen College University.

Over her career, she has worked at several Black Press Media newspapers in the eastern Fraser Valley, and is currently the editor at the Progress.

She raised her three sons in Chilliwack, and has been an active volunteer in numerous roles with various organizations. In 2023, Jessica was recognized for feature and column writing by the BC and Yukon Community News Media Association.

She is also an invasive-stage cancer survivor, public speaker and patient advocate focused on women's health and cancer screening, and spends most of her free time running or exploring.

She is currently working on her first book.
