Excitement fills the air as an announcement is made for an Open House at the Princess Armouries (45707 Princess Ave, Chilliwack) to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF). This celebration is brought to you in partnership with the 879 Earl MacLeod Wing Royal Canadian Air Force Association. This FREE family event invites the public to join from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a day packed with entertainment.
Attendees can anticipate a plethora of activities including a cake-cutting ceremony at noon, giveaways, door prizes, showcased artifacts, static cadet displays, a flight simulator, and a silent auction.
Participation from various organizations enriches the event, with the Langley Museum of Flight, Murphy Aircraft Mfg Ltd, CFB Chilliwack Historical Society - Chilliwack Military Museum, Canadian Military Education Centre, JoinAir Flight Training, and Corner Kick Concessions all contributing to the festivities.
