Food Trucks Along the Vedder

The Vedder Rotary Trail has sure become a busy place over the last decade. What was once a quiet route to walk or ride, is now bustling with people, bikes, and animals rain or shine. And as businesses started to take note of the increased foot traffic, food trucks started popping up at some of the different parking lot entrances.

Although some may miss the quiet days of the past - the tacos, the coffee, and all the other offerings are very welcome additions to the trail system!

Monthly Feature: Warming Up With Local Soup & Sandwiches

October usually brings cooler temps and warmer eats.

Now, we may have had record-breaking heat this past month, but that wasn’t enough to change our cravings for cozy fall food.

We ventured all over Chilliwack looking for best lunch spots - and here are a few of the places we found.

Little Beetle

Located kitty-corner to Old Yale Brewing at South Sumas & Unsworth, Little Beetle offers a breakfast, brunch, and lunch menu that are sure to satisfy any taste buds. We tried the chicken clubhouse and curried chicken soup. It was one of the pricier combos, at $20.95, however the portion and plating reflected that - including crispy potato wedges and artisan bread for dipping.

Multi Pack Foods & Deli

Located in the heart of Downtown Chilliwack, Multi Pack Foods & Deli is a local family-run deli specializing in European meats and cheeses. They have over 50 years of experience in catering, sausage-making, and custom cutting. They offer deli buns, specialty schnitzels and house made soups for lunch on the go!

Major League 2 Taphouse

Major League 2 Taphouse is situated on Gaetz St in Sardis (in behind Frankie’s Italian Kitchen), and offers so much more than just your regular pub fare. Craving a beer along with your house-made sandwich for lunch? This is the place for you!

Perfekt Deli

Located in the quaint town of Yarrow, the Perfekt Deli is more of a grab & go spot, offering a daily soup feature and a build-your-own sandwich menu. They do offer a picnic table out front, but we decided instead to head one block east to Yarrow Pioneer Park and enjoy the tasty meal - picnic style!

Hugos Mexican Kitchen

Maybe not what you typically picture of when you of “soup & sandwich”, but tacos and tortilla soup is pretty much the same thing, right?
