General Laborer

Looking for an applicant who is eager, dependable, has a positive attitude & is safety conscious.

Our plant operates Monday to Friday, never on weekends. We have an early start time and do require overtime during our peak seasons.

Johnstons consistently aims to provide a secure and positive work environment where safety is our top priority. This position requires no previous experience!

Responsibilities:

Packaging of meat products
Keep up to production line speed while stacking boxes of product.
Assist with various tasks as assigned by lead hands and production supervisors
Work as part of a team environment.

Qualifications:

Ability to work in a refrigerated environment.
Physically fit and able to lift, push, and/or pull, weight of up to 50 lbs.
Be willing to adhere to and ensure all hygienic food safe and WorkSafeBC requirements in the plant are followed.
Experience in manufacturing or agriculture industry, within a fast-paced environment is an asset (but not required!)
Basic English is considered an asset.
